Upgrading Vending Machine Technology in Malaysia

Vending Machine also known as electronic machine used to disperse a product to a consumer after a certain amount of money has been put into the machine. Vending machines are commonly used to disperse beverages and snack items. but in recent years companies have introduced vending machines that disperse other items, even including electronic items such as credit top ups, digital cameras and ipods.

In Malaysia, most of vending machine is offering beverage, foods and snacks where many vending machines are at workplaces, supermarkets, schools and universities. People can just pick up a meal or snack on the go to satisfy their hunger. Many vending machines offer the consumer the opportunity of purchasing 24 hours a day. in term of payment method, normally to buy the products we need to use coins or paper notes. In my point of view, is good for Malaysia to upgrade a vending machine by adding one of new payment method which using card likes Touch N Go or Rapid Pass Card. By this approach may be will ease the consumers to prepare exact amount of coins or notes and save the time to buy the products. Just by touch the card to the sensor system at the vending machine, then the consumers can choose what products they want to buy.

People will be more happy to enjoy the meals with the new concept of "fast and carry" instead of to take a few times stand in front of machine to put in money into it and waiting for the process done. Consumers just need to ensure that their cards having enough money in to enjoy the facility, if not they can top up the card first or use coins or notes if they have it. In addition, this new concept is in line with the future revolution where people are live in fast and advance technology from time to time.

New Pen Computers Redefine Compact

Ultra-Portable Laptops move over, this new technology from Japan is redefining the meaning of the word ‘compact’. Microcomputer and microprojector technology has allowed the Japanese to create these small portable computers that are no longer than your common pen.

Two of these small objects work in conjunction to create a fully capable computer. One of them serves as a monitor by projecting an image on a flat surface, while the other serves as your keyboard once more through projection. Movement sensors can detect where your fingers touch the projected image!

No word yet on when this remarkable new technology will be on the market, or just how powerful they can make these tiny portable computers yet. This is surely the first step in a whole new range of technology we’ll be seeing in the future, though.

Pillow talk for long distance relationship

Pillow talk can be define as relaxed conversation between two gender in a bed. What i'm trying to share is not a normal pillow talk, this pillow is equipped with technology where the pillow can allows them to listen to the real-time heartbeat of their loved one regardless of how many thousands of miles that separate them. Pillow Talk is actually a project by Interaction Design Student Joanna Montgomery who wants to keep the flame between long distance lovers burning. Below is the image:

Based on the pillow creator, this is made possible thanks to a sensor that is fitted into a wearable chest strap, where you will need to wear this to bed at night. The sensor will indicate whether you have gone to bed or not, where your other half’s pillow will then start to glow, while beating according to your heart’s rhythm. Guess business folk who miss their wives on their travels won’t mind seeing this hit the market sooner rather than later.
In my point of view, it is quite unique product that might attract customers who are in long distance relationship. Perhaps this could release the feel of miss from one to another. Hope this project can be success and get many demand in the future.

WhatsApp adds free voice call features..

Last 3 weeks, my handphone automatically updated some software such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Youtube, Games and others as usual. But I'd noticed my WhatsApp software is having a new feature which quite attractive and awesome, it is free voice call. Before this, we just have Viber, Skype, Facetime Audio to make direct call to our friends and family, now with WhatsApp new feature it ease users to make a call to any WhatsApps friend from the list. Below are the image of the feature in WhatsApp software:

Using this new feature, people can call their family and friends for free thru WhatsApp without worry our credit mobile phone running out or bill with higher charged. Perhaps, we can make a call to anyone regardless which country they are in. We are all knows, WhatsApp is currently increasing their number of users, with the popularity of user friendly software and many features that people enjoyed using it such as sharing videos, photos and links from others app, quick camera button, whatsapp direct from contact list and many others. From my point of view, this feature is mobility and ease to contact each other, perhaps in other way around it can enhance and close the relationship with family and friends at anytime and anywhere.

1st day of MIS750 class

On Sunday,12 April 2015, it was my 1st class of Management Information System (MIS750) with Assoc Prof Dr Norzaidi Hj Mohd Daud (Cool Lecturer Ever). A week before the class, i had said to myself this subject will make me sick again because last diploma i felt very terrible to understand this subject especially on the process of a system and its components. On the first day class also i need to present first chapter of MIS with the topic of "Information Technology:Concept & Management". 2 days before the class i strictly focus on this chapter 1, in order to ensure myself is well prepare and really understand on what i will presenting to the class.

It was really nervous and stress on that day, but i am trying to be calm cause i am pregnant. Before starting the class, we have simple ice breaking among each other. Then Dr Zaidi said we will make this class not too formal and enjoyable. Every jokes that Dr Zaidi made had reduce my nervous and stress till the presentation time.

We had the presentation section like a forum which is really different concept from other subject before. Dr Zaidi directly ask me on "what system that i had used in my work place?". I just able to give a smile for a minute, at the same time i immediately instruct my brain to think faster to give the answer. Then i came out with the answer of Qlikview System".

At the first place, Qlikview is a common system that i had used in my routine work to deliver some reports required by the management and need an analysis. So it makes my sharing part became more clear and smooth. Dr Zaidi said my sharing topic already explain the relationship of Information Technology and Support systems, it was good and give added information to the other students. That day i seriously understood on what is Transaction Proccesing Process (TPS), Management Information System (MIS) and Decision Support Systems (DSS).

Below is a simple diagram that can explain basic flow of TPS, MIS an DSS:

The process flow, will start from data online purchases is captured and processed by the TPS, then stored in the transaction database. Data needed for reporting purposes is extracted from the database and used by the MIS to create periodic, ad hoc or other types of reports. Data is output to a DSS, where it is analyzed using models, a DSS can support the analysis and solution of specific problem and evaluate strategic opportunity. In effect, data collected by the TPS is converted into information by MIS and DSS. The data is extracted from the database, transform into standard format, and then loaded into data warehouse.
